Free Exercise

Life just got busy with so many fun things to do! I love it I've only been working Friday, Saturday and Sunday For a while lately so it's been fun to catch up with friends and start some exercise! Yesterday my friend Terri and I started a boxing circuit group and the best part of it all is its FREE! How good is that Monday and Thursdays for an hour, Terri and I haven't exercised properly in years and the ladies were so friendly and welcoming its was so much fun! Afterwards we bought some boxing gloves and hats and we can't wait to go back on Monday! I have woken up with the sorest hip and neck lucky we are both beauty therapists I think massages are in order haha! We have had the most beautiful weather the last two days so sunny and hot it was great Dave & I even sun baked by the pool! Today is going to be 27 again but I'm glad I'm going to be inside with air con I got a bit of heat stroke yesterday never exercising without a hat again!! Hope everyone has a great weekend! I have lots planned and I'm really looking forward to it!

Wifey gets a nice surprise on Date Day!

Husband promised Wifey a cute and romantic Date Day, we sung along to my Ipod well Dave did anyway... all the way to Mt Tambourine it was a cloudy drizzling kinda day but I kinda liked it. I could smell all the wood fires burning, the trees were dripping in tiny droplets of rain and oh the wisteria there was so much of that beautiful plant I couldn't help but taken a million pictures. The houses were beautiful too they had the most gorgeous cottages and one had all these fruit trees next to it I definitely want them in my dream garden! I felt like I was driving through "Pinterest" it was like flower porn! we drove back from Mt Tambourine in the drizzling rain and stopped by my favourite zaraffas they even gave us free coffee vouchers #winning! down to the beach we went to finish off the day with a surf club meal! or I like to say a Cold one ha ha! Today was just like the first few weeks I started dating Dave we use to go for road trips to the sunshine coast, blasting our Ipod with the windows down laughing and just enjoying each other I love those days today was pretty special it's been a tough week with tomorrow being 1year since my Aunty Lyn passed away and Dave knew exactly what I needed some fun just the two of us like the good old days. By the end of our lunch the sunshine and high risers started poking through the fog, I sure hope tomorrow is beach weather for our last day off together!

Wind beneath my wings

Dearest Aunty Lyn,

It's been one year, I miss you so much and everyday that has gone past hasn't made it easier I'm still waiting to wake up from the nightmare, for the cure to come, I was hoping that when I looked at my right when I walked down the aisle you would be sitting there with a smile on your face. Instead mum wore your necklace and I had your pearl one around my flowers you were close in our hearts Thankyou for the beautiful sunshine you gave us on our wedding day I knew you were watching over me it was a perfect day. Your pearl necklace hangs on my bedroom door like the guardian angel you are protecting me while I sleep. Don't worry about Kristy & Paul, Mum is looking out for them, keeping them close she has a lot of love in her heart for them she always will. Nan & Pop miss you so much I won't lie it's hard somedays but Mum & Dad are doing the most wonderful job looking after them they are both smiling again they come and stay with Mum and Dad and they love the company. They planted a rose bush for you on the golf course I haven't been to see it yet but I would like to in November I bet it's beautiful. Mum is really brave and strong but I know she misses you the most it breaks my heart im glad she is in Canberra with Carly, Nan & Pop and her friends she deserves all the happiness in the world she is honestly everyone's rock and Dad is hers. I remember so much of my childhood at your house playing with Ace I still chuckle that he was way to friendly and didn't pass his police dog test I hope he waited for you up there. I remember walking from our house to yours and passing yours on the way home from school, the trampoline in your backyard, you cool colorful lights in the courtyard, your house always being as neat as Mum & Nan's and your thoughtfulness you never missed calling me on my birthday, sending me cards and buying me flowers for all the important occasions. We all miss you and not a day goes by where we don't think of you I know you wanted "wind beneath my wings" played at your funeral and we didn't cause we cried too much already but the wind went crazy when we didn't I knew that was you saying your last goodbye just like your last words to me "I love you too" I love you Aunty Lyn rest in peace and look after us all.

I hate weekends

Yesterday was my first Sunday off In ages I went to meet my best friend for coffee and what should of been a 5-10min drive turned into like half an hour there was so much traffic, people everywhere and pretty much trying to park everywhere. The beach was packed and the cafes full and I started to reminence about my weekday weekend when I could easily find a park, the cafes had a seat for me and the beach was empty like your own slice of paradise sometimes I wonder when husband and I have kids are we ever going to be typical Monday to Friday weeks with the weekend off with the kids Im not even sure I want that? Tomorrow is Date Day I have been down a bit this week but more on that tomorrow, husband has told me that he wants to plan a romantic date for just the two of us I think he is pretty cute and to say I'm looking forward to it is an understatement!

So tell me do you love your weekends off or are you use to weekday weekends? I'm lucky cause Husband works weekends too.

What I love about my husband

-he takes an interest in my passion for interior design I catch him watching all the house shows on lifestyle channels hehe
-he has finally stopped fighting the urge of Sunday drives to look at dream homes and homes we wish we could renovate
-he loves my family and talks to them all the time just as if he's known them his whole life
-he is never shy there is never a awkward moment when meeting new people
-he makes my lunch and breakfast and writes funny messages on my bag "back of bitches Stephs lunch only" or "I hope your enjoy your lunch wifey love husband" it's pretty cute even if I get a million weird looks!
-he has always insisted I grab my dream career and do whatever makes me happy
-I taught him to cook and now his chicken snitzels are better than mine
-I secretly absolutely love his passion that he has for sport
-I love that we are both Aries and our birthdays are 4days apart spending our birthday week together is so much fun every year!
-I love that when I tell him something he takes weeks to admit that I am right and when he finally does we get to enjoy those things together like coffee yes he resisted it his whole life!!
-I love watching him with my nieces and nephews he is a natural I wish he had pursued P.E primary school teacher he would of been great
-I love that he taught me the importance of working hard and not calling in sick he was the reason I made management so quick in my last Job
-I love how he is as happy as I am
-I love that we have fun together and he let's me win at wrestling
-I love his nicknames for me, bub, bugaboo, spiffy but I secretly love when "honey" slips in from time to time
-I love all his love letters but most of all I love that he has kept everyone that I wrote him since I was 17 in his bed side table I also love that he has a photo of me in his wallet
-I love that he taught me to drive and was there for my L's, P's, and open license, my 18th and 21st and each milestone he made sure I knew he was proud.
-I love his poem when he proposed I still ask him to tell me again and again
-I love that he tells me I'm too beautiful to cry but still let's me get it out of my system and knows that chocolate and cuddles usually helps... A lot!
-I love that everyone loves him because he is just too nice and perfect and always there for everyone always


The one thing I love about Dave more than anything in this world is that I get the privilege to call him not only my best friend but my Husband and he always let's me know I am his wifey, his best friend and one day the mother of his children. Dave Thankyou for being you!
