Sunniest Weekend

How good does it feel... To finally have a weekend off! I soaked it all up, firstly heading off to Suzie's going away party, she is moving to Melbourne this week to pursue her passion in photography she did the most amazing job on our wedding photo's the best gift ever!


Then we headed off to twinnes something about my friends and tweed they are forever going there haha! I just love when the whole gang gets together all the laughter, stories, drunken stumbles they are just the most beautiful people, all of them!


Then the next day breaky with Rhian, Emma and Dave yummm best food at Mecca! Pity they didn't have gluten free bread :( it was the most beautiful day on the GC so sunny! Perfect weather for footy! Titans vs Rabitohs! Dave came home a happy man... just!


Honestly what a great weekend I definitely needed the catch up with my friends! We even said goodbye to the old couch {so much room for activities now haha love step brothers!!}

Grateful this week

This week I'm grateful for...

+ deep heat for those days I'm constantly on my feet
+ having a work friend for gluten free advice {savior}
+ tax money that bought me a new washing machine & paid off my lounge hooray!
+ gumtree & Facebook for free advertising {selling my old stuff was a breeze}
+ date days/nights {Perfect time for DIY projects}
+ Flowers in all their glory brightening up my house!
+ Family Inlaw nights {they always laugh at jokes}
+ bora bora the one place I'm dying to visit!
+ mon, tues, wed {my 3 day weekend every week while it lasts...}
+ clean sheets {how can you ever be in a bad mood with clean sheets!}
+ this week I'm especially grateful for learning how to let go of the negative things and just believe in myself

Winner

The final State Of Origin round went out with a great bang! Yep of course I go for QLD and Dave goes for NSW it was the biggest rivalry 20 - 20 and at the last quarter yep we scored the 1 point winner! Wahoo!!!


By the end Mum, Dad, Dave & Dave's family didn't want to talk to me cause I picked the winning score and man of the match yep I won the family bet! And for those who don't know me I suck at sport I was the one who put my hands over my head in netball to fight against the ball hitting me! It took me 4years to even learn the rugby league rules!! So I can understand why they're stunned that my name would ever be mentioned in a sentence with sport!!

Condensed milk choc chip biscuits

Today I made my favourite cookies in the whole wide world! they are by Janelle Bloom and are in her cookbook Fast Fresh & Fabulous. They make 40 so they last all week (well half the week with Dave in the house!!) If you ever get a spare day make sure you try them my friends always scoff them down when they come over!

Condensed milk choc chip biscuits
Makes 40

250g butter, softened, chopped
1/2 cup caster sugar
1/2 x 395g can sweetened condensed milk
2 1/2 cups plain flour
3 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
375g choc bits or chopped milk chocolate (I've tried white choc chips too!)

1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius no fan 170 degrees Celsius fan-forced. line four baking trays with baking paper (hint: I use a macaroon tray and they always come out perfect circles!) 
2. Using electric mixer, beat butter, sugar and condensed milk until pale and creamy. Sift flour and baking powder together over the butter mixture and mix until the dough almost comes together. Add chocolate and stir until well distributed.
3. Roll heaped tablespoons of mixture into balls and place onto baking trays, allowing a little room for spreading. Flatten slightly with fingertips or a fork.
4. Bake two trays at a time for 9-12 minutes until light golden. Stand for 5 minutes on trays before transferring biscuits to a wire rack to cool.

When friends, Lovers & Family become enemies!

I felt sorry for my neighbours on Thursday I swear Dave nearly broke our TV on numerous accounts. I always love when our group of friends get together its like a family occasion full of insults! food and gossip! what more could you ask for?

I wasn't really watching the game which I was yelled at many times for ha ha I had a good reason one of my best friends Lindsay just came back from Thailand and I hadn't seen her since My Wedding!! so of course we couldn't stop chatting which made the men go crazy at us for. Even though QLD lost it didn't bother me that much this time I was to happy to be spending time with friends!

Being much younger than Dave when I met him I always admired his strong group of friends that always seemed to be having fun, I use to ask Dave when will I get a close group of friends like yours for life, he use to tell me once your out of school you will meet new people just trust me. He was right like he said I got the greatest friends anyone could ask for they are always there for me its never about who chases who, who calls who we are just all there for each other period! It feels so good to go through all their moments in life and their moments in the future engagements, weddings, new house, renting, babies, travels.. and won't it be special all growing old together no matter where we live cause friends like these never leave!
