Handyman Husband: Part 4

Part Four! where has time gone? this post should probably be called creative wifey and I'm sure you'll see Husband "hardly working" in the pictures below. In this project I wanted to create a Guest Bathroom that wasn't going to cost me a fortune but still look cute and obviously helpful for when guests come to stay, we are renting as well so it had to be more about adding colour in the accessories as we couldn't change any of the tiles, paint etc. I found the typography in the frame from pinterest and nothing cost over $5-$10 I found some good bargains the frame was only $4 it was probably my favourite find apart from my yellow stool I painted which you can read more about over here. How cool are the guest toothbrushes as well I found them on pinterest and ended up tracking them down on Amazon here they came from America and only took 6days to get here so fast! I love Amazon they are always so reliable. Well Without further ado here it is...

Take Note: my painting towel... husband's beloved rabbitoh's haha one day he'll get me back lucky this is his old one and he has a new one now!

What do you think?? Ps we also discovered the best way to clean the shower head as we don't use this shower unless guests are here its easy to have limescale build up and CSLR isn't that cheap we ended up using white vinegar in a large freezer bag and tied it around the shower head with twist tie wire and left in on for a couple days it now looks brand new!!

A table in the corner in another cafe: #3

Vintage Espresso!

I can see why everyone has a thing for vintage inspired interiors, clothes, jewellery and basically anything vintage its cute! I've never personally been into it but my mother in law loves it so it's always nice appreciating the collectables she owns. Dave was a little annoyed with this coffee shop it had so many flies inside so we couldn't admire the decor around us we ended up sitting outside but the table was so wonky so we really didn't get to take in the atmosphere. The coffee was pretty average which was disappointing I did love their coffee cups though haha! I guess this coffee shop would be nice if you were up that way but I can't say I would go out of my way to visit anytime soon.

We did try to find "Black coffee lyrics" but with no luck and the opening times are more at night time as surfers is mainly open at that time anyway so we've decided for now to scrap it off our list although I have heard amazing things about this cafe I don't have any desire at all to go to surfers at night. We have instead added two more cafes to our list one of which I have already visited but it definitely warrants a first time visit for Dave it's called "Blackboard Coffee" which is actually very local for me! and another place that has alot of buzz about is "Skull and bones Espresso Boutique"in Mermaid which i'm personally looking very forward too! Don't forget to let us know if you think a cafe is worth trying we are always up for trying new places send us an email or let us know on our Facebook page which is over here.

Achieving an inch of my dream with pops of colour!

To create is my outlet I love to explore new ideas, try new ways and indulge in my senses for all things creative I never limit nor control what I desire to create in my life which has given me the biggest drive to oneday open my own online homewares store and be surrounded by beautiful creations that I have sourced out myself or simply created with my own two hands. I love to enhance preloved furniture or even add my own touch to something new. I know my online store will be down the track as dreams take lots of hard work but something I do want to start and have been pondering for a long time is my beloved stools I like to bring to life! They can also be used but not limited to side tables, stools, coffee table, they can be stacked, stored, displayed and are great for small apartments or filling big homes too. I have had quite a few people asking me about mine in my house which you can view back here and same colour but different project here. They have both been so fun creating and I am looking forward to making these stools! I will only be using good quality paint by Taubmans Endure so I can make them in almost any colour you like and have a few different designs like chevron painting, dip dyed painting which is a very popular trend lately or simply a pop of colour! My favourite is the "rise and shine" which I am constantly finding new things to paint in! If only I could paint my front door... I will be starting off with just the stools for $40 they are made to order so feel free to just send me an email if your interested at stephaniewinmill@y7mail.com and we can chat about colours and designs etc... that you may be interested in! I'm looking forward to my projects! and hopefully moving closer to my dream of an online homewares store in the future.

Its possible to miss mundane tasks!

Life gets so busy sometimes I kinda miss the everyday mundane tasks... washing clothes, baking, Pinterest, (yes I class that as a daily task) catching up on blog posts. It feels good to accomplish a days worth of simple tasks and at the end relax with a good coffee and watch trash on tv! I am really looking forward to spending a day off with the Hubby tomorrow too! we haven't had many Date days in a while... I miss writing about them ALOT. Our project number 2 has come along nicely we are just waiting for a couple of last minute things in the post from america hopefully they arrive in the next couple of weeks yay! Have I ever told you how much I love AMAZON they are so reliable and if your like me and forget about the money exchange you get a nice surprise when its converted into Australia dollars and you get to pay less haha I sure do love a good bargain. I'm looking forward to showing you the final pictures of our little budget makeover. I hope my sister enjoys it as she will be our first visitor at the end of Feb we better get top marks haha.

Here is a couple of sneak peek pictures of the Guest Bathroom accessories and ideas but thats all your getting!
